OT: F.A.C. Renewal Process

Called the 1-800 fer the past 4 days and NOTHING! Seems they are
experiencing a HIGH volume of calls and tell you to "call back later".
Anybody know the grace period to renew a F.A.C. / PAL license? The web
site address? thanks

I got a mailed notice about a year ago informing me that my
POL (possession only) had been extended by ten years.
I waited several months for a new card to arrive with the
new expiry date. Nothing!
So I phoned the number 1-800-731-4000. I've done this several
times, and every time I've got a "high volume" message.
I've gone to the web-site that I fished out with Google, but
there is no e-mail page. There are several forms pages
for FACs and FRAs, but none for a general enquiry.
So my conclusion was that the Harper Conservatives couldn't
get the majority they needed to annul the legislation so
they cut all the phone lines, effectively negating the
firearms registration process.
